Before you apply for housing with Lincs Homefinder it may be worth considering the other housing options which may be suitable for you. These may be more appropriate and provide a quicker alternative to social housing.

You should contact the local council in the area you live either through the Registration form (Register from the main menu) or by phoning them. Please see 'Contact' link at the top of this page for this information.

After registering your details your local authority will contact you for further information and to discuss your housing circumstances. Depending upon your circumstances you may also be asked to attend an appointment at this stage.

You should also consider other housing options at this point.

If you are accepted to join Lincs Homefinder you will be asked to complete a full application. It is important that you provide as much information as you can to ensure we are able to fully assess your circumstances and put you in the correct band.

Once you have completed your application and provided us with any evidence we have requested your application will be made live. We will write to you and make you aware that your application has gone live and tell you which band you are in, your band date, which property types and sizes you are able to bid for and any local connections which you may have.

After this you will be able to place bids (expressions of interest) for available properties that you would be entitled to.

For more information please see FAQs or contact one of the partner councils.
